F2FF (from the 2nd Floor of Fuku-ari)

"Fuku-ari" is nickname of Fukuda Denshi Arena, which is the new home stadium of JEF united Ichihara Chiba since October, 2005. my motivation is 1. to introduce this fascinating japanese football team to others, especially outside of this tiny island 2. to live up with dairy life thank you for coming to this weblog

JEF united avoid Lobo's day

JEF united Chiba got another draw with Tochigi SC yesterday at Fuku-ari. The summit match
was the real crush that both team players displayed their braveness in clean fighting
and looked quite entertainment for football fans, but it's not enough for JEF fans as
the club needed the result for the promotion.

JEF's manager Dwight Lodeweges selected Yuichi Kubo as the first attacker and it worked
well enough as Kubo showed us his quickness in the field and his strongness in the air.
however the match started with the first bomb, Tochigi took the opener at only 2nd minute,
they used long-range throw-in from left side and Ricardo Lobo finished the flicked ball.
it looked concentrations were rather low in JEF side but actually it was their own tactics
to get a goal.

JEF players went aggressive to get the equalizer asap, and they gradually took the momentum
with their hard work. At 25th minute Sander Van Gessel took the ball around the center circle
and fed a pass to Masaki Fukai who freely waited at the left side and he finished middle range
shoot to the left side. Fukai's goal accelerated the offensive force and JEF took the lead
with Koki Yonekura's goal at 33rd minute which was assisted by Yuichi Kubo. Kubo penetrated
into the far left side and gave the centering ball to Yonekura who rushed into the goal area.
It was a bit lucky because his centering was blocked by defender but it changed the direction
to the best spot which was far from goal keeper's hand. It was a small surprise JEF players
displayed their progress in team performance and JEF took 2 goals without the tower of Tor
Hogne Aaroy
.

It was a pity that they couldn't take the third goal during the time their attack
worked effective to Tochigi in the last 15minute of the 1st half. And the Brazilian took his second
goal at the 40th minute, he displayed acrobatic goal near the left side post with small angle
of goal chance to show his decisive force.

4 goals in the first half made me imagine more goals in the 2nd half but both manager arranged
the team and the game was settled and fixed to the stiff mode. Yuichi Kubo got a clear chance of
shooting at the center of penalty arc with assist of Ryota Aoki but his shoot was too straight
and blocked by the goal keeper. One goal in any form can release his burden so i hope he works
harder for the day to come soon.

hope JEF wins the next match against Shonan Bellmale at Fuku-ari in the midweek match.

JEF share 1point with Yokohama

JEF united Chiba got 1-1 draw with Yokohama FC last Sunday at away stadium, both club
shared 1point each other and JEF united took better result on Yokohama away match
compared to the last season but it was not enough for JEF to keep on top of the board.

JEF played defensive in the first half, The addition of Sander Van Gessel as DMF seemed
to give different pace to the club and Yokohama took the momentum of the match. JEF had
several chances from Mark Millitan's long throw-in, but Yokohama displayed stiff defensive
line and they proceeded even and kept 0-0 for the halftime.

JEF gradually took the pace at the 2nd half as the position of Masaki Fukai got close to
the last one third and gained a shoot chance. At 61st minute Yonekura showed beautiful
long range pass to the far left side where Fukai waited, He gained a ball from defender and smoothly
kicked grounder to the center of goal area, Tor Hogne Aaroy rushed in and finished the opener with his right leg.

JEF kept tight defense and tried to finalize the match 1-0, but Yokohama players kept their
mobility as Yokohama's manager Kishino brought fresh players like Hakkaku on to the pitch
and changed to the three defenders formation.
Their efforts gave them the equalizer in 86th minute. the goal was made after the crush of corner kick,
and Kaio kicked it in the crowded box area. Their motivation for the victory seemed stronger
than JEF players. Nishida's header in the additional time hit the side bar and JEF scarecely
finished the game in a tie.

JEF's next match opponent is league leading Tochigi SC on this weekend at Fuku-ari.
The Norwegian player will be suspended because he took his 4th yellow cards.
It's maybe a good chance for Yuichi Kubo and other players to prove that they have
strong motivation for the promotion and they can play as members of organized and collective team
with the spirit of the club slogan " win by all (players efforts and dedications)".

JEF United smash Gifu at home

JEF United Chiba smashes FC Gifu today with the score of 3-1 at Fuku-ari and celebrates
its 20th anniversary. JEF players displayed their eagerness for the victory and they
had large possession during the first 20 minutes with 10shoots. Koki Yonekura got the
opener goal at 29th minute when he took the ball from Aaroy at the left side and he
moved to the center zone aiming grounder ball to the far side. It was a good chance
to get a goal as they pushed hard. FC Gifu immediately pushed back with sharp counter
attack at 32nd minute and Masahiro Okamoto showed big save in one by one situation.
but they lost equalizer at 34th minute on the occasion of corner kick from right side,
Mark Milligan was out of the pitch at that time as he was taken care of his head injury.

In the 2nd half both team had several chances however JEF got the momentum first
as Dwight Lodewages called Takenori Hayashi for the right side attacker at 56th minute.
30 year old striker displayed his class  and made a beautiful through pass to Masaki Fukai at the
center zone and he dribbled and finished wonderful goal at 59th minute. And at 65th minute
Mark Milligan recorded his first goal in J-league from right side corner kick, the Australian
defender showed fabulous volley in the air which was behind 204cm Tor Hogne Aaroy.

Gifu's Bruno was the real threat for JEF united and had a several occasions for a goal,
but Gifu seemed to need more practice with young Brazilian. It should be mentioned that
JEF is in need to do preparations for the away match at Gifu in hot summer
which JEF lost the match last season.

Indeed JEF united finished the first 10 matches with 22points, and all matches  have the same result
as last season, only exceptions are FC Tokyo and Gainale Tottori that both team weren't J2 last year.
9clubs are competing within 6points which means extremely tough and those clubs have a chance for promotion.

Next match against Yokohama FC at away was very dangerous as JEF lost the match last season.
hope JEF wins the match to change the result from the last season with victory at away stadium.

the 20th anniversary

East Japan JR Furukawa Football Club, the predecessor of the present JEF united Ichihara Chiba
was incorporated on 11th June 1991 and started their business at Urayasu, Chiba. The club could
not achieve great success like other original nine top flight clubs so far, but they brought us high and low
for 18years since J-League began with 251victories and 294defeats, and attendance
of 3,707,519 fans for their 311 home games(J1&J2 league matches).

The two successive cup winner of J-League Yamazaki Nabisco cup(2005,2006) was the best memory,
on the other hand we experienced the worst memory of J2 relegation(2009). The hill and volley is quite steep they test our resistance and endurance of our heart anytime.

i enjoy my life with JEF united.
my hope is our club lasts forever as major club and becomes the top team in Asia sometime
in the future as their predecessor Furukawa Electric football club realized in 1987.

Kusatsu is the place where JEF fans coming out of a dream

JEF united Chiba was defeated by Thespa Kusatsu at away stadium today with the worst
score of 1-3. There was no strong wind as last year but JEF lost again at the same place.

Without Soccerloo Mark Milligan JEF united's manager Dwight Lodeweges chose Sander Van Gesssel for CB position and Mat Lam came back to the starter at the right side. The game started
rather calm both team seemed very defensive and organized not to take much risk for giving
the opener goal to the opponent team. Masaki Fukai tried middle range shoot twice in the 1st half
but he couldn't make it. Kusatsu's Alex banned a shot at around 30th minute which hit the sidebar.

The game changed its phase at the beginning of the 2nd half, Rafinha invaded JEF side deeply
around goal line at the left and he kicked negative direction crossing to Alex who dived into the
box, Brazilian finished it for 1-0. Mat Lam, who didn't get into the match in the 1st half
was substituted to Keisuke Ota from 46th minute. And under the situation of chasing for equalizer
Dwight Lodeweges decided to call Yuichi Kubo at 64th minute for power play that earned great coming from behind victory against Oita last weekend. Kubo had a big chance of equalizer but it was rather difficult
and he couldn't hit well. The simple long feed plan didn't work well enough and JEF was taken 2goals
from counter attacks. Kei Yamaguchi tried long range throwing several times but it was not like
Mark Milligan's ball and easily treated by Kusatsu defenders. JEF's goal was earned in the
additional time, Masaki Fukai kicked the penalty which was gained from the shot of Kubo, his ball
was blocked by defender's hand.

Kusatsu deserved for this victory because they ran better than JEF players and kept concentrations
for all the time. now we have to look the reality that JEF is not strong enough to dominate J2.
JEF needs much improvements in both aspect: offense and defense for taking lead for championship.
hope JEF wins next match against FC Gifu at home on 12th June.

simple plan

JEF united Chiba won a game against Oita Trinita today at Fuku-ari, after losing 2goals
during the 1st half JEF players showed their braveness and played simple with long
ball feeding tactics. Defender Akira Takeuchi took two goals.

Under heavy rain and slippery condition Oita's Maeda took the opener at 9th minute,
he penetrated into the box of right side utilizing a chance of counter attack and
found a space for shoot. JEF united had large possessions and played active football
during the 1st half however it seemed to follow Oita's plan looking for the occasion
of counter attack. At 42nd minute Tokita showed a diagonal run to the box area and
his posting was used for Choi Jung-Han's shoot which was blocked by Okamoto but
the ball ran in front of Morishima and he freely finished 2nd goal.

The victory at home stadium is essential for promotion, JEF players took the risk of
the 3rd goal and played aggressive in the 2nd half, and they played simple way to use
their height. Sander Van Gessel moved to forward position and at 64th minute Kubo
entered the pitch, the game was played only in oita's defending side. at 68th minute
Akira Takeuchi finished the goal by his knee from Daisuke Ito's corner kick.
His goal changed the atmosphere of Fuku-ari and JEF fans voice became louder.

It was lucky Oita's players were rather young and weren't matured enough,so they couldn't
change the momentum of the game. Oita never really looked like equaling JEF United
in any department all 2nd half. Masaki Fukai took the equalizer only 5minute after
Takeuchi's goal with beautiful long range shoot from central zone. The keeper punched
out the ball for giving a good chance for Fukai.

JEF kept pushing hard for victory and finally Takeuchi got his second goal at 82nd minute,
Fukai kicked centering ball from left side quickly, and Takeuchi responded it like striker
and slide into the net with ball. His goals were fantastic and it was also good that
Yuichi Kubo tried the near and Tor Hogne Aaroy was behind Takeuchi at the far.
The victory was gained by all JEF players efforts and JEF fans support with their loud cheers.

hope JEF wins next match against Thespa Kusatsu at away stadium on this weekend.
Mark Milligan will leave our club because of national team friendly matches, so it must
be a good chance for other players like Fukumoto and Chano.

31.3°C=88°F

JEF united Chiba had a 1-1 draw with Roasso Kumamoto yesterday at away stadium.
The temperature rose up to 31.3℃ at Kumamoto and it gave a serious influence on
the contents of the match, both team players exhausted early and couldn't run well
enough to show spectacular football.

the game started in fast pace as JEF united defender Akira Takeuchi took the opener
at the 3rd minute on the occasion of throw-in by Mark Milligan from right side.
His first throw was blocked by the defender, but the Socceroo pitched strong ball to the far
side and Takeuchi controlled the volley in exact angle. The opener goal accelerated
The tempo of the game and Kumamoto played aggressive and made several chances.

At 24th minute Ichimura fed a centering ball to the box area from the right side,
Mark Milligan's clear ball became the bonus for Kumamoto, Nagasaka quickly finished
The equalizer to the left. Kumamoto kept their momentum in the 1st half and dominated
the central zone and took many second balls.

for changing their situation better, JEF's manager Dwight Lodeweges called for substituion
and Sander Van Gessel got in to the pitch and played as defensive midfeilder. the Dutchman displayed
his skills and experiences, and gave the team more settlement. JEF players tried their
bests however they didn't have enough ideas and qualities to overcome.

it should be mentioned that Kumamoto played better than JEF in same style football
with long feeds to tall players. Takagi's method of treating JEF might be a good reference
to other clubs waiting in list. it's good for JEF taking 1points at away stadium from
strong club in severe condition but maybe we need more challenges for goal in organized manner
to get a ticket for J1.

hope JEF wins next match against Oita Trinita at Fuku-ari on this weekend.

Takeuchi appeal his name to JEF fans

JEF united Chiba got the tightrope victory over Fagiano Okayama yesterday at Fuku-ari.
Okayama took the opener goal at the beginning of the 1st half with the first chance of
free kick in the 3rd minute, former JEF united player Stoyanov kicked FK from left side
and Brazilian Tiago utilized his height and finished.

JEF got several chances in the 1st half, at 34th minute Daisuke Ito kicked corner kick
from left side, Tor Hogne Aaroy hit the ball to the far side, and somehow after
defender touched the ball, Koki Yonekura got a chance of shoot which hit the right side bar.
deflect ball was a shoot chance for Keisuke Ota but Stoyanov who had already laid down blocked
the ball with his hand. Stoyanov took red card and Masaki Fukai kicked penalty for 1-1.

JEF had struggled again to play a game against 10 men team, total amount of 25shoots were fired
during the match but it's quite tough to get a goal from the team with 100% concentration for
defense.

Besides Okayama's goalkeeper Mago displayed great savings and okayama barely alive with his
tight defense. But JEF players tried their bests and showed their strong eagerness for the victory
and kept their tactics thoroughly up to the last minute.

Their efforts ended with happy moment all JEF united fans wanted,
Akira Takeuchi, 27 year old defender from Nagoya Grampus recorded his first goal in J-league
by his header in occasion of corner kick from left side at the last minute. Daisuke Ito kicked
the ball to the far side and Takeuchi perfectly hit the ball to the ground, and the bounced ball
was set to the net, and he got the chance of interview before the JEF fans after the match
and he mentioned many fans would recognize his name.

it's a good symptom we had victories at the last minute in three consecutive games with different
players recorded the final goal(Fukai, Yonekura, Takeuchi), which means competitions among players
for starter become hot and we get another target player in set play except Aaroy.

Since Tochigi lost the game yesterday at Oita, JEF united Chiba leads the J2 league for the first time in its history. However it's obvious JEF is not any super team and needs more dedication and improvements to develop their strength, it's quite easy to drop down if JEF players forget hard works and pay enough respect to the opponent. hope JEF wins next match against Roasso Kumamoto at away stadium, indeed another tough match on 21st May.

Former JEF united player Yuki Abe watched the match from the balcony. Leicester City FC midfeilder
recorded his first goal in England last week and visited his old club.

Yonekura create victory at the last minute

JEF united Chiba downed tottori yesterday at away stadium, the goal was created during the
additional time in the 2nd half, Yonekura's header goal from left side corner kick by Daisuke Ito.
He found the space behind Tor Hogne Aaroy and Mark Milligan who moved to the near side.

Both team had rather slow start in the 1st half as it was the third game in a week, however
JEF gradually took larger possesions and made several chances, but JEF failed to get the opener
in the 1st half and made the game difficult, and it looked they were given
the ball and were controlled tactically by Tottori side. Tottori's manager Matsuda changed
two players in the 1st half and prepared for the aggresive attack in the beginning of the 2nd half.

Tottori seemed changing formation from 4-1-4-1 to 4-4-2 and had furious attacks around 45-60minutes,
however JEF displayed their tight defense and kept cleansheet. JEF players tried to keep their team
balance and to be rather defensive in the back line, so they couldn't show much counter attacks
and chosed long range balls monotonously. JEF seemed to play well but actually was on the knife-edge
between victory and defeat. Mat Lam got a chance of volley in the box area but he failed to hit well.

Hamed, Tottori's final weapon from Cote d'Ivoire stood on the pitch from 80th minute and got the chance of fire in the 90th  minute but his strong shoot was blocked by Masahiro Okamoto, great saving which was direct to the victory.

Finally,Koki Yonekura displayed his spirit "never give up until the game is over" and gained the result
of away game victory, and showed the difference from the last season.

hope JEF keeps winning streak next match against Okayama at Fuku-ari on 15th May.
