F2FF (from the 2nd Floor of Fuku-ari)

"Fuku-ari" is nickname of Fukuda Denshi Arena, which is the new home stadium of JEF united Ichihara Chiba since October, 2005. my motivation is 1. to introduce this fascinating japanese football team to others, especially outside of this tiny island 2. to live up with dairy life thank you for coming to this weblog

Yonekura open new era of JEF with 2goals

JEF united Chiba beated Sagan Tosu with Koki Yonekura's two goals today
at Fuku-ari. the 1st half of the match was rather boring to watch as JEF showed
much ball possesions but couldn't take many chances for shoot. Yonekura tried
middle range shoot once at 21st minute but blocked by the side bar. Tosu displayed simple and effective counter-attacks however they also suffered from lack of accuracy and thier shoots were wide of the mark.

the atmosphere of Fuku-ari was changed at 51st minute when Koki Yonekura took
his first league goal assisted by Kohei Kudo, JEF players showed enough speed
for counter and Kudo carmly fed the ball to Yonekura, who was perfectly free at the right side. JEF fans burst their joys and chants
and scraping hands became much rouder. my family at Globo, shopping mole outside of Fuku-ari felt shaking ground at the time his goal was caught by the net
which was found real earthquake afterwards.

Tosu pushed harder for equalizer and became offensive too much, JEF got a chance
of counter attack only two minutes after the lead, Yuto Sato fed long range grounder pass and again Yonekura finished his second goal, a fantastic loop shoot displayed his progress and talents as professional footballer.

there were some dangerous scenes in the 2nd half but JEF was lucky to finish the
game with clean sheet. if it was the match against J1 club, JEF had lost at least 2 or 3 goals. JEF's new players like Mark Milligan and Kei Yamaguchi showed good performances and contributed for this victory.

it's good for watching the victory but it should be mentioned this is only the first
and we keep going to be the top of J2 when the season is over. hope JEF wins next match against Tokushima Voltis next weekend at away stadium.

Okamoto stop Franca

JEF united Chiba had a 90minutes draw against Kashiwa Reysol,
and took the crown of the 16th Chibagin cup in shootouts(4-3) on last Sunday.

JEF players showed their higher motivation to this match and went aggresive
from the begining of the 1st half, but Kashiwa took the opener at 4th minute
when Kitajima fed a ball to the leftside and Hayashi quickly kicked back
to the center far side where Sawa jumped into. it was Sakamoto's mistake,
he gave too much room for Hayashi.

JEF continued their attacking mode and tried to make a goal for equalizer.
their efforts became the reality at the 36th minute, Masaki Fukai fed
a beautiful grounder to the box area and Alex finished it to the left side.
JEF players kept tight defenses and took several intercepts, and displayed
some attacks with many short range passes like Okada's national team.
Kashiwa lost some regular players by injury and the team performance seemed worse than JEF.

the 2nd half was even game as both team made many chances but couldn't make
them for goals. at 87th minute Kashiwa displayed their counter attack and
Franca got a chance of one by one with goal keeper Masahiko Okamoto,
Okamoto blocked Franca's shoot in the short range for saving JEF for life.
he also stopped Franca during the penalty shootouts and became the MVP of
this match. the last kicker for JEF was Seiichiro Maki, and his shoot
reminded me of the glory day, 5th November 2005, when JEF took Yamazaki Nabisco cup for the first time of its history.

it's always good for watching victory especially at Fuku-ari, and we watched
some positive aspects in offensive scenes.
however only 1 goal was same as last year and the issues of the attacking third and defesive manners were still remained unsolved.
so it's early for enjoying victory, we haven't got nothing yet until we're back to J1,
i supose.

Chibagin cup preview and results of testmatches

tomorrow is the day the 16th Chibagin cup final is held at Fuku-ari,
Fukuda Denshi Arena. it's meanless match between JEF united Chiba and Kashiwa Reysol as Kashiwa people said but it's classic, one of the world's
top three tournaments;-) which announces the arrival of football season for
Chiba people.

i made my starting players with all JEF and Reysol related.
Kudo, Ota, Yamaguchi, Kurata, Kanazawa are substitutions.

GK                Okamoto
DF Sakamoto, Masuyama, Chano,  Alex
MF                  Chugo
      Sato,     (Yamaguchi)        Ito
     (Kudo)                          (Kurata)
FW  Yonekura,   Maki,             Murai
      (Ota)                          (Kanazawa)

my interests for this match is
whethere JEF takes some goals from the same category club which is maybe
the top of J2, and shows enough automatism in team building for making
bullet start in the J2 opening match.

hope JEF wins this match and gains a good momentum for the coming season.

2/17   Shonan Bellmare 2-1 JEF united Chiba
goals: Yonekura(16), Abe(70), Arai(78)
JEF: Okamoto, Watanabe, Masuyama, Fukumoto, Sakamoto, Yamaguchi, Kudo, Kurata, Fukai(Kanazawa),

JEF: Nakamaki, Wada, Chano, Ikeda(Kamata), Alex, Sato, Chugo,
     Ota(Kanazawa), Murai, Ito, Yazawa(K-Aoki)

JEF finish camp with victories

JEF united Chiba finished training camp in kyusyu area today
with the victory against the J2-League opening match opponent
Roasso Kumamoto, after terrible defeat from Avispa Fukuoka.

Roasso seemed to hide their tactics and major players like Naoya
Fujita
, so this result gave them enough information for scouting.
but victory is lot better than other results as all players needed
to get the result for appealing their performances. and it should be
mentioned they took their first clean sheet game with fresh defenders
like Tsukasa Masuyama and Keiji Watanabe. if manager Atushiko Ejiri
chose starters not only by their experiences, they might get the chance
by this result.

there is another point to notify Unknown Players joined those matches
and they took several goals. UPs are juvenile talents who joined practices
occasionally but it seems JEF should try to seal contracts with them ASAP
preparing for the future.

JEF seems to spend better training camp than last year but the concern matter
is that Mark Milligan got injured during the early stage of the camp and
he hasn't played in those test matches. i have no information where and how
bad his injury is, but hope his early and certain recovery.

the victory of test match doesn't have much meaning to response, but it's good to hear
as a fan of the team, and hope they keep this momentum and build enough self confidence
for the coming season. the next match against Pohang Steelers might be a good touchstone
because they had already experienced some matches with our direct opponents.
